Just wondering how the WPD let those kids storm the field given what went on this week. Great win Valley, congrats to all.

It was a little bit of an "in your face" to Hills, storming the field, but Valley was the dominant team last night and were proud of themselves. They deserved it; after the beatings, the Olsen debackle, the kids lawyerin g up because they felt they were "wronged" and a whole host of ridiculous BS..none of that mattered last night. Just a good, clean game of football. So proud of Valley!

They stormed the field of a football game out of excitement and Joy. They weren't looking for a fight they were looking for their friends! WPD did an awesome job, maybe the first guy to comment would have been satified if the WV crowed was pepper sprayed and dragged off the field! Please people a congratulation followed by a "but" or something negative is not genuine so save it!

Maybe there is a Valley kid who does not like a Hills kid, maybe there is a Hills kids that does not like a Valley kid, but most of the kids from both teams are friends. I saw a lot of great sportsmanship from both teams after the game. Also, 90% of the parents get along. But the media seems to make a big deal out of the 5-10% that maybe dont get along. Congrats and good luck to both teams this season.

It's high school football people. I feel sorry for the people that take this stuff seriously, it's a game played by kids who for the most part aren't even good enough to make a college level team. There are always a few exceptions but for the most part meaningless in the game pf life....teach your kids a good work ethic and they will be far more successful in life........

Great job by Wayne Valley last night!

Fans rushing the field has been eliminated at most levels for safety concerns. In fact, as the announcer said last night it wasn't allowed last night either. As a wayne hills parent, based especially on the events of the last week and some of the tweets that went out I was concerned for my childs safety, not taking anything away from valley - the team beat hills in every way and the parents and fans were nothing less than totally classy. I feel though that with all of the police presence last night fans on the field should not have happened.

yes paul. with all those police on the field, the msg cameras, the wayne hills AV cameras, the WV av team cameras all rolling while filming the big celebration many of the WV fans were looking to cause trouble. JUST RIDICULOUS . enough of the nonsense already. were you really worried about your childs safety or are you just a drama queen?

Be real Kelly. Never said many WV fans were looking to cause trouble. All it takes is one person to cause a problem. Was the kid who allegedly assaulted the police officer this week in that crowd of kids that swarmed the field? Or how about the kid who was tweeting this week? If the thought didn't cross your mind you need to get out of Mayberry once in a while. Maybe even read a newspaper every now and then. Hear me again, no problem with the WV team or fans. Hell, if I was 16 and a wv fan I probably would have done the same thing myself. The WOE, though, with the horses, swat team, mobile command center, etc should not have let that happen.

If a kid wanted to cause trouble they did nt have to storm onto the field where the police and all the cameras were camping out. maybe you should put your kid in a bubble.

A question you won't answer but just for kicks: were there requests for restraining orders, threats of violence, and promises of "beefed up" police presence prior to that game as well? OK, time to retread that drama queen line again...

We r two teams in one town that are friends in the end. I wish the some adults and the media would stop trying to divide us..what happened in the past happened in the past. I wish the media would stop adding what happened last Oct in every article they right about hills. I sold 50/50 on the hills side Friday night and had a blast. Not one person said something negative. It was great to see FRIENDS. Bottom line leave the past in the past and lets move on.

WV beats WH for the first time in 20 years. The students storm the field in joy ( as they should ). All that be said is CONGRATULATIONS. Instead we have to hear about the fear that shook his body.
