Why is it closed, it is a religious observance not a civil observance.

Thanks Sandy.
Scondo, the courts are also closed on friday.
The state offices are closed; but Wayne is selective when it comes to the state.
They blatantly disobeyed the lowering of the flag; but follow the holidays.
Unbelievable.

I was just wondering, I will probably leave a little early to try and attend a religious observance and I am on schedule to attend to a sick family member on Friday, but it seems to me that if someone wanted to make a religious observance it should be on their own dime and time.

I agree. It is that way in most businesses; but the state and town.
