A video ESPN produced about T.J. Olsen, his road to recovery, and the blessing he's been to his family already.

Greg Olsen talked about the first few months of his newborn son T.J.'s life with ESPN recently.

T.J. was born Oct. 9 with a condition known as hypoplastic left heart syndrome. The left side of his heart didn't fully develop while the was in utero. He was diagnosed while in utero. He has a twin sister, Talbot, and an older brother, Tate.

"Going into it, it seemed like the biggest dark cloud a family could ever ask for," Olsen said.

T.J. went through a seven-hour long surgery to correct the condition only a few days after he was born.

"It was rough, he didn't look great," Olsen said. "It's hard to see your 2-day-old baby in that condition."

T.J. came home from the hospital in November

"Everytime I look at him I just say 'look at this guy, look at what he's brought us and he doesn't even know it," Olsen said.

Olsen's wife Kara spoke about how thankful the family was during the holidays.

"We said on our Christmas card: Christmas is the time to count your blessings' and that's 100 percent how we feel right now," she said.
