Here is a taste of what you may find on Wayne Patch this week.
- We'll let you know how the demolition of the former State Farm building on Route 23 is going and if someone has applied to construct another building on the property. The longstanding building is in the process of being torn down after being unused for years.
- The Board of Education may change a controversial policy that outlines how much community groups and organizations must pay to use school-owned facilities. If more than 50 percent of participants at a specific event are Wayne residents that group would not have to pay a fee to use the facility.
The board changed the policy, which has existed for years, to require local organizations to pay to use school-owned facilities. District officials negotiated specific fees with organizations after the policy was approved.

I think something is missing? I assume it should read 50% are Wayne residents?

I am surprised there is no story this week on the mayor's proposed change not to run for relection with Lonnie Ryan? I would be curious to read comments if there was.
