Special Olympics participants were honored Saturday with a party at the Wayne Police Athletic League Saturday.
Participants danced, met with Santa Claus, and had a good time. The police department and Policemen's Benevolent Association Local 136 hosted the annual event.
Attendees were given Christmas gifts.
The department carries the torch in the annual Special Olympics Torch Run.
Several Special Olympics participants from Wayne won medals in this year's New Jersey Special Olympics at Passaic County Technical Institute in May.
