Resident Charged with Burglary
Charges stem from burglary that occurred on Third Street Dec. 1.
A local man was charged with burglary and theft after police linked him to a December burglary on Third Street.
Thomas Farquhar, 33, of Wayne, was arrested in connection with the burglary, which took place at a Third Street home Dec. 1, Detective Capt. James Clarke said Wednesday.
Numerous items valued at more than $10,000 were reportedly taken from the home, including jewelry, a fur coat, and several Christmas gifts, Clarke said.
Farquhar was linked to the burglary after police stopped 31-year-old April Kowal, in her car on Berdan Avenue Jan. 18, Clarke said. Police Sgt. John McNiff searched Kowal's vehicle, and found numerous pieces of costume jewelry, a black ski mask, a headlamp, and a white “hockey-type” mask, Clarke said.
Kowal was taken to police headquarters, where she allegedly said the jewelry came from Farquhar — who she described as her daughter's father — adding that he burglarized a house in Little Falls and one in Wayne, Clarke said. Kowal also stated that she picked up Farquhar near a wooded area near Third Street on Dec. 1, and noticed he had numerous bags filled with Christmas gifts and a fur coat, Clarke said.
Farquhar was charged with one count of burglary and theft, and is currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on unrelated charges.
Kowal was charged with one count of receiving stolen property and one count of forgery, in connection with a personal check made out to her for $500, which police found among her possessions. Kowal admitted to forging the check, Clarke said. She was released on a summons.
This is the second burglary-related arrest that police have made in the past week.
Corey Porcelli was arrested Jan. 27 after police found him hiding behind the Red Barn furniture store. A resident caught Porcell attempting to break into his Sheffield Road home earlier that day, police reported. Porcelli is also wanted for or a suspect in numerous other burglaries in Bloomingdale, Allendale, Ringwood, West Milford, Roxbury, Jefferson, Mt. Arlington, and Wanaque.

Ever hear about innocent until proven guilty? He may have made some mistakes, but it's unfair for you to make a comment about him like that. You must not know him well because of the comment about "that poor daughter". He has a son. He's entitled to a fair trial, and if he's found guilty of whatever they're saying he did then he deserves whatever the courts sentence him to. To
say lock him up and throw away the key is just plain ignorant and wrong anyway you look at it.

Everyone is entitled to a fair trial, I know I sure am...i'm his son's mother and his codefendant for most of the charges...yes, I agree that he's still running around acting like a punk little kid, but again he deserves his due trial...no one except for ME and only ME knows what kind of person he is and wants to be...i'm not making excuses for him but he's had a rough life and he's def tried hard to be a better man but he falls off and lossescontrol...haven't any of you ever just lost control...no parents no family, no home, no support trust me you wouldn't be doing so well yourself...but whatever he did what he did as Did I and we will suffer the consequences...

There are ppl who had much more to overcome in life than this clown who are now achieving greatness. Winning super bowls, publishing studies, nobel prize research, the honest janitor who
mops the floors at the local school. Im so tired of the excuse "hard life". Poor little herion addict that is forced into a life of crime. Get a life! What a waste of human space. I will pray for the innocent child in this situation.

you know, it is a dam shame for what hes done to his life and some others. but to read on this matter about tommy and april and hearing all the blasts offs on them is kinda degrading even more to knwo that people are quick to talk stupid instead of maybe offering some help. for kevin, yo, its a dam shame he did that, there is no words to describe the pitty and shame tommy put on his back no question. but i known tommy for a very very very long time and if you knew him and his life/style that he had to live since a child, well it would be expected for when he hits rock bottom. its just part of that way of life. the man never for one minute had it easy psycally or mentally. im sure some of you on here who are talking bad about tommy havent always been angels, but tell me, when you was little jerks too, was it the way of life or just something to do? for april, man come on, no need to bash her, send her some love and a handfull of help and friendship. to kick anyone to the curb isnt gonna help but make issues of hers harder to deal with. PLEASE, if you knew tommy, read between the lines, the dude never ever had it easy. and sorry for the hurt and damaged familys out there, toomy made his bed now he has to sleep in it. take care and god bless

Please don't give me the excuse that he has a hard life and he had this and blah blah blah! I know many ppl that have had hard lives growing up but guess what...those ppl knew how to leave it in the past and make something of themselves! So that isn't a excuse at all. He is a adult and he grew up but clearly didnt want to leave the crap behind him! As for MS I know him well and I know bad habits don't go away unless they get help! Which clearly none of them want!! They are all losers who steal, lie & cheat to support a habit which will end up killing them just like many of "our" friends so as sad as it is this drug has taken many ppl and destroyed lives and families simply because they are to weak to seek help!

Sorry they stole from you.. hopefully Jax will now have a chance at a normal life, your parents are good kind respectful people who are capable!! I always want better for my kids then I had... some people can't see past themselves to do just that.. Everything should've been done for that innocent child to have better... Maybe this is there way of giving him better.. by failing ... that IS WHAT THEY ARE GOOD AT!! THUG LIFE FOREVER...LMAO you are your own joke!!!! Just sad and pathetic all around!

He's a wannabe who lives the life he sees in movies! And as for M.S, wake up people. Some you play this peace and love garbage save the world crap. But if it was you're mother or sister or Grandmother he robbed you wouldn't be saying this! I was good friends with both these fools you are all talking about. Plenty of chances to better themselves. Yea like he said THUG LIFE FOREVER... They should have went to clown college..........

It justs goes to show you that even snitches go to jail. Those of us that knew Tommy the best also knew that he was the biggest snitch to ever come out of Wayne. I do feel bad for his child, however. Maybe this time he will change for the best. Unfortunately, until Tommy and the people who 'claim' to know him best get past all of their excuses, they don't stand a chance. The one thing that I know to be absolutely true is that their is NO such thing as a good excuse. That being sad, I will continue to pray for Tommy and the rest of the people I grew up with who have not yet found there way in life. Myself included.

Once a degenerate always a degenerate. Did anyone ever think of leaving WAYNE. It's odd. I did and so did many of my friends and we have no criminal histories. It makes me laugh because all the "tough guys" in high school have amounted to NOTHING. I and many of my high school friends have become masters of the world. Bottom line....my life wasn't that easy but I never lowered
myself to a life of crime, I made do. Hopefully, the Bergen County charges sit and the pre sentence report is accurate. Rot in Northern State Prison or hopefully Rahway. Lol

Someone said "customers". He's a dope peddler too!!!!! Lolololol. I love it. Freakin love it. You know what. Lololol. This could be a great experiment. I'll bail him out and send him to the Betty Ford clinic wait, even they have admission standards.....I'll find a place...and make a bet tthat he goes back to a life of noting within a month after being rehabbed. Oh how I wish GL was alive and working to see this.
