Enrollment limited to 80 kids between 10 and 12 years old.
Residents may now submit applications for the 2012 Junior Police Academy.
The police department's Community Policing Unit organizes the annual event.
Enrollment is restricted to 80 residents between 10 and 12 years old. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The curriculum will include hands-on activities and physical training exercises to give children an idea of what is involved in becoming a police officer.
The academy will be held at Wayne Valley High School June 25 to 28 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.
Applications can be downloaded by going to the Community Policing Department's Web page.
Residents with questions should call either Cpl. Thomas Colella or Officer Scott Rappaport at 973-633-3546.
