Public Input Wanted On Transportation Plans

Special presentation on possible ways to improve transportation in Passaic County will be given later on this year.

Possible ways to improve transportation in Passaic County will be discussed later on this year at a special presentation.

Officials will present the draft transportation element of the county’s Master Plan for public review in September. Members are invited to review and comment on the element at the presentation. (A copy of the document has been attached to this article.)

The transportation element serves as a blueprint for the future of the county’s transportation system, which includes roadways, mass transit options, waterways, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

The blueprint outlines policies and investments needed to ensure future mobility for residents and support the local economy.

The presentation will be given at the Passaic County Planning Department, Suite 250, 930 Riverview Dr. in Totowa on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 5 p.m.

Visit the county’s web site for more information.

You use to see people bicycle all over town. Roads are not safe any more to ride .Take you life in your hands. If roads were more bicycle friendly, more people would ride on them.Hamburg Turnpike between Ratzer and Valley doesn't even have sidewalks and people walk right in the road putting them and vehicles in harms way!!
