Principal Positions Being Advertised Online

'Common practice,' superintendent says, helps district expand job candidate database.

Education officials are soliciting applications for three principal positions, one each at a district elementary, middle, and high school.

The “anticipated” positions are listed on applitrack.com.

The listings do not specify what institutions the candidates would be applying to work at.

In a statement issued Wednesday afternoon, Superintendent Ray Gonzalez said, “currently Wayne Township Public Schools does not have any open principal vacancies, but the district has posted the positions to help develop an applicant pool should the need arise.”

Gonzalez said that making such postings is a “somewhat common practice, especially in a district as large as ours, and helps us expand our database of qualified candidates.”

Gonzalez did not comment further.

Claudia Olivio, the district’s human resources director, did not respond to messages seeking comment.

The potential position openings have also been posted on the bulletin board in the district's administrative office.

The postings come less than a year after sweeping changes to the district’s administrative structure were announced. Four principals were hired as a result of resignations, promotions, and unrenewed contracts.

There are new principals at Lafayette Elementary School, Wayne Hills High School, and George Washington and Schuyler-Colfax middle schools.

Officials also reorganized the administrative structure of the district’s special education, guidance, and athletic departments.

Each high school has its own athletic site coordinator and Michael Miello is the district athletic director.

There have been other administrative changes to the school district in recent years.

Gonzalez became the first permanent superintendent in Wayne since 2009. He started in 2010.

Assistant Superintendent Marysol Berrios was hired in January 2012.

This article has a typo.
Gonzalez was hired December 2011, NOT 2010. Less than 1 month later, he brought in Marison, at additional cost to the taxpayers.

Stinziano was so proud of her accomplishment:

"..."He will be a great educational leader, bringing stability and intelligence to the school system," board member Laura Stiziano said."

Now, this same Board of Ed has positioned themselves to APPOINT a team-player, not for the taxpayers, but for themselves, continuing to BLEED everyone dry.

Didn't Gonzalez come after Roth, which also was after the Wayne Hills/Wayne Valley Football Tragedy?
