Police: Woman Hid 30 Bags Of Heroin In Bra

Police also said they found several bags of heroin and needles in vehicle after traffic stop on Route 23. Vehicle was pulled over for having front tinted windows.

Three people were charged with possession of heroin Thursday after police found bags of the substance in a vehicle, and in the bra of one of its occupants, Wayne Police reported.

Wayne Police Officer Vincent Ricciardelli stopped a vehicle on Route 23 North near Packanack Lake Road shortly after 10:30 p.m. for having tinted front windows, a police report on the incident states.

One of the vehicle’s occupants, Gregory Babcock, 37, of Montague, was asked to exit the vehicle after Ricciardelli noticed he was moving around in his seat, the report states. Three bags of heroin stamped “it’s party time” fell to the ground when Babcock exited the vehicle; several bags of heroin were on the seat he was sitting on, according to the report. Babcock was sitting in the driver's side rear passenger's seat.

During a search of the vehicle, Ricciardelli found 18 bags with heroin in them, several syringes, two bags of crack cocaine, an aluminum cap with heroin residue in it and a cotton ball on the floor of the front passenger’s side of the car, the incident report states.

Police said they found Suboxone in passenger Cindy Lou Vandermark’s purse.

When asked by police if she had anything else on her, Vandermark, 31 of Franklin, said yes and removed 30 bags of heroin, a crack pipe, and a bag with crack in it from her bra, Ricciardelli reported.

Babcock was charged with possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, and possession of syringes.

Vandermark was charged with possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, and possession of Suboxone.

Stephen Ammacher, 33, of Franklin, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Babcock also had warrants for his arrest out of Franklin and Cedar Grove.

All three are scheduled to appear in municipal court on June 7.

Amy Deluise, the driver of the vehicle, was issued a summons for having tinted front windows.

Thank goodness for traffic laws or else a lot fewer criminals would get caught. This was excellent work in profiling the way it's supposed to be done. I shudder to think how many people are under the influence on the roads every day.

Ah, the old tinted windows ploy, works as well as the broken tail light ploy. Guaranteed a call was placed by a neighboring police department who is surveiling a known drug purchase location to be on look out for cars leaving that location.

Franklin and Montague are quickly turning into little dumps. So when you get the idea to move your family away from urban problems think about this story.

I'm disgusted by the drug epidemic. I don't accept that it's a disease. You have to try it and get hooked first. Pathetic...will contribute to the end of the society as we know it. Thanks again, baby boomers. Another fine contribution to society. Which accomplishment is that generation's proudest, I wonder: mass divorce/family dysfunction, drug addiction, sexual disease, unprecedented greed, unchecked consumerism/damaged planet, unsustainable debt...?

I think most boomers would agree that you are our greatest contribution, WW!

Please note that none of those arrested are baby boomers. Your attempt to affix blame to an age cohort that you have decided is responsible for all our current maladies is absurd. Why not blame all the child-rearing experts of the generation before the boomers (Dr. Spock, etc.)? Surely their ill-considered advice has something to do with the way children have been raised since the 1950s.

I guarantee that at least 60 % of our crime comes from slime in Paterson. A majority are illegal but this state is a safe haven.

Hey Warren ... your love lights our world! Wayne has lots of "slime" in it, as well. Did you know that slime comes in many forms; not just people who live in a poor city and/or sport a darker skin tone. Some slime disguise themselves in suburban towns and they read small town news sites - occasionally even commenting on stories just like other upstanding citizens. THERE ARE A PAIR OF CHARACTERISTICS THAT SLIME SHARES WHEREVER IT LAYS AND FESTERS; profound ignorance and a hateful heart define them all. BTW, if you believe in God ... a creator of some type, then these good folks were ALSO made in His image. Bit of a quandary, isn't it?
P.S. I'm not necessarily speaking of you but if the slime fits ...
