National Weather Service Issues Flood Warning
Severe thunderstorms, cold front could cause flash flooding this weekend.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a hazardous weather outlook stating there is a “low chance of flash flooding” this week.
Local rivers are not expected to flood, the outlook states.
The threat stems from a “slight risk” of severe thunderstorms hitting the area Friday afternoon into Saturday. A cold front is forecast to move into the region then.
The outlook was issued for Northwestern New Jersey, including Passaic County.
