School Letter Mistakenly Mailed, Students Showcase Businesses This Week

A letter was inadvertently sent out by Wayne Public School District officials regarding a change to the weighting of college preparatory courses at Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley High Schools. Officials issued a letter stating that no change to the high school grading system would occur this school year. We’ll try and find out why the original letter was mailed.
- The first annual TERPS Marketplace will be held at Anthony Wayne Middle School on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
- More than 90 students will showcase the products or businesses they created as entrepreneurs. Students met for the past six weeks after school as part of the TREPS Club. There they learned about the basics of product development, finance, marketing, advertising and sales. We’ll let you know what the students have come up with.
- The mayor and council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday night. We’ll attend the meeting and let you know if anything of note occurs.
- The Wayne Board of Education will hold a public meeting on Thursday night. We’ll attend the meeting and let you know what happens there.
