Former Pro Athletes Tee it Up for Kids
Preakness Hill Country Club hosts annual event to help children rehabilitate from brain and spinal injuries.
Several former professonal athletes gathered at the Preakness Hills Country Club Thursday to raise money for the Children’s Specialized Hospital and Cheer Me Up Foundation.
Former New York Giants Otis Anderson and Bart Oates and New Jersey Devil Ken Daneyko played golf and posed with photographs with attendees.
"This such a great way to help kids and we're proud to be a part of it," said Oates.
Attendees bid on autographed memorbalia from Armani Toomer, Phil Mickelson and other professional athletes.
Children's Specialized Hospital is the largest provider of pediatric rehabiliation services in the United States. The Cheer Me Up Foundation, a Belleville-based non-profit, aids sick and underprivileged children.
