Shomrei Torah, the Wayne Conservative Congregation, presented a unique summer Shabbat service Friday night.

The event began with a special pre-Shabbat picnic barbecue, followed by a Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma-ariv services outside under the stars. The evening concluded with a buffet dessert (Oneg Shabbat) reception.

Shomrei Torah, an egalitarian Conservative congregation affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, is located at 30 Hinchman Ave.
