Cheerleaders Come in First Place for the Third Time This Season
Wayne Hills competition team takes first place in Welcome to the Jungle competition.
The Wayne Hills High School Competitive Cheerleading Team came in first place for the third time this year by winning the Welcome To The Jungle Cheer Challenge at Becton Regional High School in East Rutherford.
The team takes pride in cheering as seriouly as it does.
“We know each other so well and we all want to do this,” senior Alexa Cohen said. “Other people want to play sports, we want to cheer. There’s nothing else we’d rather do.”
The girls came in first place in the Just Cheer Cheerleading Competition last month.
The 14-member team will participate in the Wayne Valley High School Cheerleading Competition next week. Then the girls will head to Florida to compete in a national competition at Universal Studios later on this month.
