The 12th annual Brian's Run took place Sunday morning at A.P. Terhune Elementary School

The run is named for Brian Kwiat, a Wayne Valley High School alumnus who lost his battle with Severe Aplastic Anemea in 2001 when he was 18. The event raises awareness and money for Tomorrow's Children's Fund (TCF) at Hackensack University Medical Center.

The TCF is a non-profit that provides state-of-the-art medical care to pediatric cancer patients. It helps fund research initiatives in an effort to find a cure for many kinds of childhood cancers and blood disorders.

Hundreds people attended the event.
